Role Description
A Jack and Bore Foreman oversees and directs the installation of underground infrastructure, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget, while managing crews and equipment.

Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with managers.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Crew Supervision and Management:
- Supervise and direct the work of jack and bore crews.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality of work.
- Train and mentor crew members on safety procedures and job techniques.

Safety Management:
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
- Ensure all crew members are properly trained and equipped for safety.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
- Operate and maintain jack and bore equipment and machinery.
- Ensure equipment is in good working order and properly maintained.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues as needed.

Communication and Documentation:
- Maintain clear and accurate records of project progress and activities.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required.

Problem Solving:
- Identify and resolve potential problems or issues that may arise during the project.
- Develop and implement solutions to ensure project success.
Qualifications
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and on-call shifts.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance with DOT, FRA and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
- Railroad experience is a plus but not required.
- CDL is a plus but not required.
- 2+ years of experience with Jack & Bore machine.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
Requirements
- Manager/Supervisor experience.
