Role Description

As an IT Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for IT hardware, software, and services, driving cost savings and ensuring supplier performance.

• Develop and implement global category strategies for assigned IT categories, aligning with Jabil's overall business objectives.
• Conduct comprehensive market analysis, supplier identification, and spend analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Lead and manage the entire sourcing process, including RFI/RFP development, negotiation of terms and conditions, and contract finalization.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key IT suppliers, monitoring performance, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT stakeholders, legal, and finance teams to ensure successful project execution and compliance.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply for critical IT assets and services.
• Track and report on category performance, including cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance metrics.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT procurement and supply chain management.
• Manage and mentor junior procurement professionals within the IT category.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in IT procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing within a large, global organization.
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating complex IT contracts and delivering significant cost savings.
• Strong understanding of IT hardware, software licensing models, cloud services, and IT professional services.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) are a plus.
