Role Description

• Provide language interpretation from one language to another for individuals with language barriers to understand and communicate with each other.
• Handle telephone or video calls on demand and render the meaning of conversations in the consecutive mode of interpretation between speakers of English.
• Process information quickly and concisely, recognizing sensitive cultural differences, and always maintain professionalism and courtesy.
• Use appropriate industry terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices. The calls may involve:
  • Healthcare
  • Government
  • Insurance
  • Finance
  • Utilities
  • Travel and Hospitality
  • 911 emergency services
  • Law Enforcement
  • Courts
  • General Business

Qualifications

• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and always remain neutral and objective.
• Ability to quickly establish personal credibility.
• Ability to follow client's instructions closely.
• Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at the request of the client.
• B2 CEFR English Level bilingual with other required languages.
• Able to work from home on a permanent basis.
