Role Description

BCBST’s BlueBridge Internship program is seeking an Intern for our Provider Network Management Team!

This remote internship provides backup support for Network Adequacy, assists with reporting, updates policies and procedures, and supports time study initiatives.

• Start Date: June 22, 2026
• Duration: 12 months (June 2026 - June 2027)
• Hours: Minimum 20 hours per week with the potential for up to 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling
• Location: Remote, with preference for students in Tennessee or attending Ohio University
• Paid Position

Qualifications

• Active college students (in an accredited college or university) who have completed a minimum of two years of college are eligible.
• Recent college graduates and students enrolled in a Masters or Doctoral program (in an accredited college or university) are also eligible.
• Must provide transcripts.
• Active full-time BCBST employees are not eligible to participate in the program.

Requirements

• Majors in Health Services Administration preferred
• Rising juniors or seniors and graduates are eligible
• Must reside in Eastern or Central Time Zone
• Strong Excel skills with a high attention to detail
• Research-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment with frequent urgent, short turnaround requests.
• Able to prioritize, work independently, and effectively manage time and resources.
• Effective communication skills: written and verbal.
• Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Appropriate decision-making skills required.
• Must have a 2.75 GPA or higher
