Role Description

Join our dynamic integration team as an IBM MQ / ACE Middleware Engineer and play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless, reliable flow of data across our enterprise systems. You'll collaborate with developers and infrastructure experts to build, sustain, and enhance our messaging and integration environments. This position offers the chance to deepen your expertise in middleware technologies while supporting mission-critical business operations and driving continuous improvements in system reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and maintain robust IBM MQ environments, including queue managers, queues, channels, and application connectivity.
• Administer and support IBM ACE environments, including integration nodes, servers, and runtime configurations.
• Enhance observability by implementing monitoring solutions, setting up alerts, and proactively identifying operational risks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve messaging, integration, and connectivity issues in close cooperation with cross-functional teams.
• Manage secure messaging connections and certificate lifecycles, including renewals and incident resolution.
• Lead and execute upgrades for IBM MQ and ACE platforms, and coordinate related server maintenance.
• Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution to ensure operational readiness.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance, weekend shifts, and on-call support as required.
• Maintain thorough documentation, drive administrative simplification, automate recurring tasks, and recommend improvements.
• Contribute to ACE development and deployment efforts, leveraging your integration architecture knowledge.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated hands-on experience administering IBM MQ in enterprise settings.
• Proficient in troubleshooting messaging infrastructure, connectivity, and certificate-related challenges.
• Working knowledge of IBM ACE environments and ACE Toolkit.
• Strong grasp of integration development and architecture principles.
• Track record of providing production support, monitoring, and executing infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to support scheduled weekend maintenance and participate in an on-call rotation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with scripting and automation.
• Background in high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with ACE development and deployment processes.
