Role Description

As a Hmong-English Video-Phone Interpreter, you will handle calls on demand, rendering the meaning of conversations between Hmong and English speakers. You will break communication barriers across various industries, including:

• Healthcare

Your responsibilities include:

• Responding to video and audio interpreting sessions promptly.
• Participating in online training sessions.
• Delivering interpretation services via video while typing data on a dedicated device.
• Rendering correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocols.
• Maintaining a professional demeanor throughout sessions.
• Remaining calm during challenging situations.
• Following client instructions to meet expectations.
• Demonstrating commitment to cultural sensitivity.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Hmong and English, with cultural competency.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to remain neutral and objective during sensitive conversations.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write in the requested languages is highly preferred.
