Role Description

GCG is seeking a Health & Safety Systems Specialist to support and enhance our enterprise-wide environmental, health, and safety (EHS) systems and programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, systems, and safety—bringing structure to complex information, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across the organization.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of our EHS management systems and learning management systems (LMS), ensuring they are accurate, compliant, and optimized to support the business. You’ll partner closely with Safety, HR, IT, and operational teams to maintain data integrity, support reporting, and improve how we track, manage, and act on safety-related information. This position operates with a high degree of autonomy and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on workplace safety, compliance, and performance across GCG.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and optimize EHS management and LMS platforms, ensuring system functionality, data integrity, and alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as system administrator for EHS tools, including user access, troubleshooting, training, and ongoing support.
  • Maintain accurate EHS records and documentation to support compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001/45001, and other applicable standards.
  • Support audit readiness through effective tracking of certifications, inspections, corrective actions, and compliance activities.
  • Analyze EHS data to support internal reporting, regulatory submissions (e.g., ITA), and leadership decision-making.
  • Partner with EHS leadership to support reporting, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and track EHS training programs, including needs assessment, assignment, completion tracking, and communication efforts.
  • Support incident tracking, claims management, and external reporting, including workers’ compensation and insurance coordination.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, HR, and business teams to ensure systems meet organizational needs and integrate effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and data quality to enhance overall EHS performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3–4 years of experience in health, safety, environmental management, or related systems.
  • Experience administering enterprise systems, ideally EHS management or compliance platforms (e.g., Intelex, KPA, VelocityEHS, PureOHS).
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as OSHA, EPA, DOT, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Proven ability to manage data, analyze trends, and generate meaningful reports to support decision-making.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or integrations with other enterprise tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort working independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10–20% as needed.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 and annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
  • Comprehensive health coverage with multiple plan options (CDHP and PPO).
  • Company-paid life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, supplemental insurance options.
  • Generous time off including PTO, paid holidays, parental leave, and compassionate care leave.
  • Wellness and support programs (EAP, wellness incentives, telehealth).
  • Extras including dental/vision, FSAs/HSAs with company contributions, pet insurance, legal services, and ID theft protection.
  • An employee-centric company that values and truly appreciates our most important asset: You!
