[Hiring] Head of Network @Luo

Role Description

The role of Head of Network is critical to Luo's growth, focusing on optimizing existing payment corridors and expanding into new markets across Africa.

• Own partner relationships and commercial negotiations with collectors and banking partners.
• Build the leverage map to identify areas for renegotiation, growth, or exit.
• Compress treasury and settlement delays across the full flow (customer to collector to bank to broker).
• Set SLAs per partner and work hands-on to resolve documentary and operational issues.
• Manage concentration risk and reduce over-dependence on any single partner group.
• Lead expansion into new countries and payment rails: identify partners, negotiate entry terms, and build infrastructure from scratch.
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy, coordinating closely with the CEO, treasury, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in banking, payments, treasury, correspondent banking, or PSP/mobile-money operations in francophone Africa.
• Track record of managing and negotiating partner relationships.
• Deep understanding of fund movement in the UEMOA (XOF) and CEMAC (XAF) zones.
• Experience with collectors, local banks, SWIFT messaging (MT103/MT900), correspondent flows, and settlement mechanics.
• Fluent in French and professional English.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the region.
