[Hiring] Head of Media Editing @Job Crystal

Role Description

An Accountancy Service for small businesses in the UK is looking for a Head of Media Editing to lead the creation and production of video content for our YouTube channel. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can both execute high-quality edits and oversee the broader video content pipeline — from concept through final delivery — to grow our YouTube presence and strengthen our brand through compelling visual storytelling.

Qualifications

• Proven experience editing and producing video content for YouTube or similar platforms (portfolio/showreel required)
• Strong proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
• Strong storytelling instincts with an understanding of pacing, structure, and audience retention on YouTube specifically
• Experience overseeing a production process end-to-end (ideation, filming/sourcing, editing, delivery) — not editing in isolation
• Highly organised, deadline-driven, and able to work independently in a remote environment

Requirements

• Background directing, shooting, or producing (not just editing) — able to advise on footage/content strategy upstream
• Experience working with music, entertainment, or brand clients
• Thumbnail and light graphic design skills (Photoshop/Canva)
• Familiarity with YouTube Studio analytics to inform editing and content decision
