[Hiring] Head of Engineering, Supply Chain @Moniepoint

Role Description

The Head of Engineering, POS Supply Chain, oversees the software estate for Moniepoint's physical operations, including:

• Owning the technical strategy and architecture for inventory and logistics tools and repair management software.
• Leading an engineering organization of approximately 25 engineers, including managers, QA, SRE, and Data Engineering.
• Driving platformisation of inventory and supply chain systems for operational data visibility and consistency across millions of terminals.
• Bridging the gap between operational practice and software systems by building operationally disciplined solutions.
• Defining architecture standards, engineering processes, and quality metrics across squads to ensure reliability and data integrity.
• Collaborating with business and operational stakeholders to translate operational requirements into engineering solutions.
• Hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering managers and senior engineers to support team growth up to 30+ members.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of overall software engineering experience, with at least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases.
• 5+ years of hands-on, production-level experience writing and shipping Java code.
• At least 5 years of experience managing managers.
• Deep hands-on experience in supply chain, inventory, warehouse, or logistics software at scale.
• Fintech or regulated-industry experience, with an understanding of the operational stakes of device management in a payments environment.
• Strong backend engineering skills for data-intensive, distributed, operational systems.
• Proven system design ability at large scale, managing hundreds of thousands of devices or more.
• Experience managing and developing large engineering teams of 20 or more members.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• A product-minded approach to solving operational problems with engineering solutions.
