[Hiring] Head of Developer Relations @ClickHouse

Role Description

As Head of Developer Relations, you’ll own how developers discover ClickHouse, get productive on it, and bring others along:

• Lead, coach, and grow a globally distributed team of developer advocates.
• Set ClickHouse’s long-term developer and community strategy with marketing, product, and engineering leadership.
• Own the developer experience from the outside in, tracking time to first query and onboarding completion.
• Run friction logs on the onboarding path and own the feedback loop into product and engineering.
• Manage the Developer Relations budget and represent the function to customers, partners, and the open-source community.
• Set targets for community growth and engagement across various platforms.
• Build the champions program to foster community growth.
• Develop owned channels into audiences with a content system that maximizes reach.
• Run the developer-event portfolio, producing recorded and written material.
• Shape developer education and technical content in collaboration with various teams.
• Support in-region developer programs and the startup and partner ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a developer relations or community team at an infrastructure company.
• Deep technical skill: ability to write demos and tutorials.
• Experience running developer events and speaking programs.
• Experience building scalable developer education or content programs.
• Experience growing owned developer channels to a real audience.
• Experience building or scaling developer programs.
• Ability to quantify community work and defend metrics.
• Comfort operating globally and cross-functionally.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
• DevRel or community leadership experience around an open-source project.
