Role Description

The GL/AUTO Claim Coordinator will assist in the areas of General Liability, Auto Liability, and related exposures, vehicle safety, and the Employee Damage Program. Responsibilities include:

• Claims intake, monitoring, and administration
• Report generation
• Communication with employees, managers, insurance carriers, and medical staff

Qualifications

• High-School diploma or GED required; College degree preferred
• Two or more years of general insurance, claim department operations, or related experience preferred
• Experience directly related to OSHA reporting, OSHA certification preferred
• Results driven with demonstrated problem-solving and basic investigative skills
• Strong analytical skills; proven ability to collect and analyze data and trends
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to continue education to stay current with changing regulations

• Input new claim loss data into applicable claim systems
• Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk
• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes
• Recommend solutions to issues and improvement opportunities
• Report on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics
• Inspect Quality on job sites
• Attend Safety Committee meetings
• Request and provide information to various stakeholders
• Handle incoming inquiries related to claims
• Provide professional customer service
• Maintain organization of claim files with accurate documentation
• Manage various avenues of loss reporting
• Assist with special projects or other tasks as needed
