Role Description

As a Georgian-English Phone Interpreter, you will be responsible for handling calls on demand and rendering the meaning of conversations between Georgian and English speakers. This role involves breaking communication barriers across various industries, including:

• Healthcare

• Court
• 911 Services

The interpreter processes information quickly and concisely, recognizing sensitive cultural differences while maintaining professionalism and courtesy. This position does not involve written translation; interpreters translate verbally.

This is a remote position. The Interpreter works from his/her home-office. It is essential to ensure a quiet & secure environment.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Georgian and English, with cultural competency.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to remain neutral and objective during sensitive conversations.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write the requested languages - highly preferred.

Requirements

• Dedicated personal device for business purposes.
• Desktop/Laptop with Windows, MacOS, or ChromeOS; Tablets (iPadOS or Android); Smartphones (iOS or Android) are acceptable.
• High-speed internet connection with minimum download speeds of 5 Mbps and upload speeds of 3 Mbps.
• Access to a quiet space free from background noise or distraction.
