[Hiring] Freight Brokerage Account Manager @CrossCountry Freight Solutions

Role Description

The Freight Brokerage Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of customer accounts while executing day-to-day freight brokerage operations. This position will manage the full customer lifecycle, including:

• Prospecting and onboarding new customers through calls, email, and networking.
• Identifying opportunities to expand wallet share within existing accounts.
• Providing competitive pricing and solutions aligned with customer needs.
• Sourcing and securing reliable carrier capacity to cover customer freight.
• Negotiating rates with carriers to maximize margin while ensuring service.
• Building and maintaining a network of trusted carrier partners.
• Developing and managing relationships with new and existing customers and shipper accounts.
• Tracking and tracing loads, proactively communicating updates to customers.
• Managing shipments from tender through delivery, ensuring on-time performance.
• Resolving service issues quickly and professionally.
• Ensuring all loads are accurately entered and maintained in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Managing load-level profitability and meeting margin expectations.
• Staying informed about market conditions and adjusting pricing strategies accordingly.
• Ensuring accurate documentation, billing, and compliance with Company processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or other industry-related field preferred.
• Prior experience with industry load board platforms (DAT, Truck Stop) is preferred.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with diverse personalities.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (written and verbal), analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
