[Hiring] Forestry Lead Auditor @Bureau Veritas

Role Description

The Forestry Auditor is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the Audit Process, Technical activities, and governance for the program under their responsibility within Bureau Veritas Certification NA, including maintenance and expansion of Bureau Veritas Certification client base and achievement of the Program’s key performance indicators.

• Ensure successful overall management of the Forestry schemes to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Perform client certification audit activities for North America clients in accordance with Bureau Veritas Certification procedures.
• Complete audit reports and submit files to POV.
• Manage and close-out nonconformities identified during audits.
• Work with the Program Manager and Operations Team to ensure adherence to post-audit timelines.
• Liaise with External Oversight Bodies and relevant Internal departments.
• Complete technical file reviews and internal witness audits.
• Deliver webinars to clients as applicable.
• Act as the main liaison between BVCNA and clients regarding disputes, complaints, appeals, or concerns.

Accountabilities

• Conduct audits according to scheme specifications and BVC requirements.
• Audit report completion and submission.
• Manage and close-out nonconformities identified during audit activities.
• Technical file reviews and certification decisions.
• Customer complaint and appeal reviews.
• Customer satisfaction survey analysis.
• Internal audit management.
• Standard related I-Evaluate/Corrective Action Response.
• Management review input submission.
• Support sales to maintain revenue growth.
• Maintain accreditations (attendance at AB audits/manage AB witness audits).
• Maintain customer satisfaction levels (80% or higher).
• Deliver white papers/e-learning/webinars to clients or other interested parties.
• Provide standard specific related training as needed.
• Manage workflows in internal/external databases.

Performance Measures

• Program related documents and procedures are maintained and controlled.
• Be billable 50% of available audit days (i.e., non-vacation or recognized holidays).
• Technical file reviews completed in a timely manner.
• Certificates are issued within defined timelines.
• External/internal audits satisfactorily executed.
• Corrective actions maintained without program suspension.
• Competencies of field resources/back office staff maintained.
• Product development in accordance with budgeted and strategic requirements.
• Support BU Manager with respect to growth of the program.

Qualifications

• BS Degree or equivalent in a technical field (e.g., Engineering).
• At least 6 years relevant professional experience or equivalent.
• At least two years in a technical role.
• Professional expertise relevant to one or several of the product areas is desirable.
