[Hiring] Fire Alarm Designer @J. F. Ahern Co.

Role Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Alarm Designer located in any of our offices or remote work.

• Oversee project design progression from inception to completion including design, permits, as-builts, and operations and maintenance manuals.
• Develop a comprehensive design plan to meet schedules and budgets.
• Participate in team and on-site progress meetings.
• Understand and follow all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications.
• Ensure AHJ requirements and procedures are followed.
• Multi-task and prioritize among assignments with strong adherence to deadlines.
• Excel in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in the design of special hazard suppression and pre-engineered systems.
• Previous experience working in AutoCAD or Revit is required.
• Knowledge of low voltage wiring and special hazard fire suppression systems.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Maintaining cutting-edge industry knowledge.
• Ability to pre-plan and execute tasks with great detail.
• NICET Certification preferred.
