[Hiring] Field Service Technician @Illinois Tool Works

Role Description

As a Field Service Technician, you are the front line of Simco-Ion Technology’s customer interaction through delivering efficient field support. In this role you will support the sales and services of company products while exceeding customer expectations through installation and maintenance activities at our customer sites.

• Enhance customer satisfaction providing exceptional customer service
• Completes installation of components and low voltage wiring on customer ceilings, typically in cleanroom environments.
• Installation of localized and in tool ionization equipment
• Completes maintenance of several types of static control systems
• Schedules visits and installations with customers directly.
• Follows work instructions of service manager or senior field technician on projects, may occasionally complete smaller jobs on individual trips.
• Responsible for timely and accurate documenting and reporting of all service-related activities
• Generates various customer reports
• Exercise safe working practices and procedures at all times.
• May be required to work weekends and/or evenings depending on the needs of the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with hand tools, good hand dexterity needed.
• Ability to read, comprehend and interpret technical information involving mechanics and electronics.
• Basic knowledge of low voltage electrical systems.

• Experience with Microsoft office programs including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Requirements

• Trade school certificate or associate’s degree in maintenance or electronics related area preferred.
• Experience in Construction industry preferred, 2+ years of experience
• Previous experience in clean room environments
