Role Description

As a Farsi Video-Telephone Interpreter, you will be responsible for handling calls on demand and rendering the meaning of conversations between Farsi and English speakers. The interpreter breaks the communication barrier in various industries, including:

• Healthcare
• Government

• Law Enforcement
• Court
• 911

The interpreter processes information quickly and recognizes sensitive cultural differences while maintaining professionalism and courtesy. This position does not involve written translation; interpreters translate verbally.

This is a remote position. The Interpreter works from his/her home-office. It is essential to ensure a quiet & secure environment.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Farsi and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics.
• Ability to provide cultural competency and assess regional and accent differences.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to concentrate and remain neutral and objective at all times.
• Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Dedicated personal device for business purposes.
