We're looking for a mission-aligned Family Support Specialist to bring the power of lived caregiver experience to the center of our care model. As a Tennessee Certified Family Support Specialist (CFSS), or someone on the path to certification, you'll partner with caregivers of youth facing emotional, behavioral, mental health, substance use, or developmental challenges, offering encouragement, building trust, and helping them navigate the systems that stand between their family and lasting wellness.

This is a full-time, remote position, Monday through Friday. Some evening availability may be needed to accommodate client needs across time zones.

What You'll Do

• Partner with caregivers as a peer, using your lived experience to build trust and offer hope.
• Drive family engagement in the program, helping families get started and stay active between visits.
• Reinforce the caregiver curriculum, modeling communication and problem-solving skills.
• Navigate and advocate across systems, assisting caregivers in working with schools, courts, and community resources.
• Build the family's support network and goals, helping caregivers identify natural supports.
• Coordinate with the Holon care team, keeping the primary care provider and case manager informed.
• Document engagement (non-clinical), recording participation and progress while upholding privacy and compliance rules.

Qualifications

• Lived experience as a caregiver of a child or youth with emotional, behavioral, mental health, substance use, or developmental challenges.
• 18 or older, with a high school diploma or GED.
• Tennessee Certified Family Support Specialist (CFSS) held, or eligibility and willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• At least 12 months of paid or volunteer experience supporting families or navigating child-serving systems.
• Willingness to work under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional.
• Comfort with technology, including telehealth and smartphone apps.
• Tennessee residency, reliable transportation, and ability to make occasional community or field visits.
• Ability to pass background checks required to work with minors and families.
• Strong boundaries, cultural humility, and a deep commitment to family voice and choice.

Requirements

• CFSS already certified; NAMI Family-to-Family or Parent-2-Parent completed.
• Experience with juvenile justice, child welfare, truancy/school, or youth behavioral-health systems.
• Familiarity with engagement or contingency-management models.
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
