[Hiring] Events Programming Intern @Alpfa

Role Description

The Events Intern supports the full scope of planning and execution for ALPFA Convention 2026, contributing across logistics, vendor coordination, attendee experience, and on-site operations. This role sits on the PgMO/PMO team and offers hands-on experience delivering a national-scale event.

Your Summer at ALPFA — 2026 Intern Program:

• This is a 10-week paid, remote internship (June 22 – August 28, 2026).
• You’ll own a real project that matters to a national organization.
• You'll have a people manager and teammates invested in your growth.
• A built-in cohort of fellow interns will be with you.
• Starts with a Week 1 orientation to get you connected and confident.
• Mid-point check-in to ensure there are no surprises.
• Finish by presenting your summer’s work directly to ALPFA’s senior leaders and your peers.

The highlight:

• Every intern travels to the ALPFA National Convention (August 9–13) with covered flights, hotel, and meals.
• You’ll work at the largest gathering of Latino professionals in the country.
• Build your network and see the mission you’re contributing to come alive in person.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled undergraduate student (rising junior).
• Event coordination and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Monday.com, Slack, and Google Workspace.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to work the full program (June 22 – August 28, 2026) and to travel to the ALPFA National Convention, August 9–13, 2026.

Requirements

• Duration: 10 weeks (June 22 – August 28, 2026).
• Observed Holiday: Independence Day (Fri, July 3, 2026).
• Location: Remote, open to candidates in Texas, Florida, South Carolina, or Pennsylvania.
• Travel Requirement: Travel to and support on-site operations for the ALPFA National Convention (August 9–13, 2026).

Benefits

• Salary: $20–$25/hour, commensurate with academic level (undergraduate vs. graduate).
• Full-time, 40 hours/week, for the duration of the 10-week summer program.
