[Hiring] Environmental Remediation Engineer or Geologist @Geosyntec Consultants

Role Description

Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Remediation Engineer or Geologist with oil and gas sector experience to help grow our contaminated site assessment and remediation services in Midland, Texas. In this position, you will contribute to innovative and challenging environmental projects, including:

• Financial and technical evaluation
• Detailed design
• Permitting
• Construction stages

While further developing the business skills needed for a successful consulting career.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology, or environmental, civil, or chemical engineering (required)
• Advanced degree in geology or engineering (preferred)
• Professional registration or ability to obtain within one year (i.e., P.G. or P.E.) (preferred)

Requirements

• At least 5 years (7+ years preferred) of direct environmental consulting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation and vapor intrusion (required)
• Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams (required)
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed (required)
• Knowledge of Texas geology (preferred)
• Previous project experience in the Oil and Gas sector (preferred)
• Regular field work and overnight travel (required)
• Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred)
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
