Role Description

- Work closely with the Head of Group Property & Environment
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the company's Environmental Social Governance strategy
- Maintain the Environmental Management System (EMS)
- Conduct internal audits
- Liaise with external auditors
- Manage legal compliance updates
- Oversee ESOS compliance
- Conduct significant research and benchmarking to stay on top of legislation
- Advise on emerging trends in environmental management
- Manage responses to initiatives such as the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), FTSE4Good, ISS, Zero Carbon Emissions roadmap, Net Zero, Ad Net Zero, Scope 3 Emissions, and Science Based Targets
- Collect data for annual reporting and contribute to the Annual Report
Qualifications
- Educational background in Environmental Science
- Professional certifications in environmental management systems like ISO 14001 (highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of environmental legislation and compliance requirements, including ESOS and Carbon Disclosure Project protocols
- Robust research and analytical skills to monitor legislative impacts and conduct benchmarking exercises
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with stakeholders and drafting reports
