[Hiring] EHS Manager @Carrier

Role Description

This role is responsible for supporting and implementing EHS policies and programmes to ensure compliance with applicable local legislation, regulatory requirements, and corporate standards across Austria & Switzerland. The position will be based in Switzerland to work across the field service and sales organisations, as well as business support functions, and will also play a key role in supporting EHS integration activities and providing effective business partner support to the Viessmann business in Austria & Switzerland. Responsibilities

• Provide support and advice on all aspects of occupational health, safety, and environment for Austria & Switzerland services/projects/integration of acquisitions, ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual, and company requirements.
• Collaborate with senior management and other functions to achieve optimal EHS performance.
• Support Senior Leadership in the deployment of EHS strategies and provide guidance to operational management on the prevention of workplace incidents and illnesses.
• Promote and ensure adherence to Lead with Safety Commitments and actively promote EHS as a shared responsibility rooted in the right EHS culture.
• Coach management teams to develop a deep understanding of EHS responsibilities and the business benefits of a robust EHS program.
• Oversee EHS investigations into workplace incidents to uncover root causes, identify immediate and preventative actions, and capture “lessons learned.”
• Identify EHS resource needs during project proposal phase, based on project role, scale, hazard profile, and technical complexity.
• Manage prequalification, deployment, and safety performance of subcontractors.
• Produce and deliver EHS training & development programs.
• Conduct regular safety inspections/audits and close on corrective actions in a timely manner.
• Provide administrative support, in particular the internal EHS reporting system.
• Review and update all EHS policies, procedures, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Produce timely EHS communication in various formats (videos, in-person briefings/presentations, written communication).
• Support EHS certification renewals.
• This role does require travel throughout Austria and Switzerland on a regular basis to visit job sites and depot locations.

Qualifications

• Degree or NEBOSH International Diploma in EHS, Engineering, or relevant scientific/technical area.
• Minimum of 5 years progressive work experience gained working with organizations in field-based, construction, or manufacturing operations.
• Regulatory knowledge including safety, environmental, and other regulatory standards applicable to building services industries and construction.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate, and drive change and interact cross-functionally.
• Inter-personal skills with a proven ability to influence, build effective working relationships, and drive cultural change with a strong willingness to learn and develop.
• Proven ability to work in a matrix environment, influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal.

Pay Range

CHF104,500.00 - CHF208,500.00
