Role Description

The Director, Workplace Health & Wellbeing (WHW) is a tenured, knowledgeable, results-driven leader who is able to navigate ambiguity and support client goals, while leading a team of diverse health and wellbeing professionals and people leaders, across complex client accounts, to success. This individual serves on the Personify Health Workplace Health & Wellbeing leadership team, providing advocacy for Personify Health products while embracing Personify Health’s mission and values.

• Manages a team of WHW people leaders and individual contributors within complex accounts and across a diverse client base.
• Drives service excellence across the broader workplace team, while leading the performance and development of direct team.
• Provides oversight of team deliverables and focused client goals & priorities, utilizing team data & cross-functional insights to define and execute long-term goals for the broader workplace team.
• Leads cross-functional and cross-departmental projects and initiatives with key internal collaborators, including Client Growth leadership and Commercial partners, ensuring effective relationships and awareness of WHW capabilities.
• Identifies and supports design and coordination of team training & development while applying a deep understanding of market & industry dynamics.
• Partners with enablement ensuring awareness of needs & opportunities to best support WHW team.
• Leads continuous improvement initiatives to drive best in class service delivery, ensuring WHW roles & scope of work continue to meet and exceed client expectations; proactively identifies opportunities for role and service evolution.
• Provides strategic leadership for the evolution, positioning, and commercialization of Workplace Health & Wellbeing services, partnering across Commercial, Product Marketing, Client Growth, and Operations teams to develop scalable service models, strengthen market differentiation, support sales efforts, and ensure WHW offerings continue to meet evolving client and business needs.
• Serves as a strategic subject matter expert for WHW capabilities, supporting enterprise sales, proposal development, thought leadership, and market-facing content that strengthens awareness and adoption of Workplace Health & Wellbeing solutions.
• Represents the voice of clients and frontline Workplace Health & Wellbeing teams, translating insights into recommendations that improve service delivery, operational effectiveness, client experience, and future service innovation.
• Supports or leads WHW Manager and Senior Manager initiatives including training, learning & working leadership sessions.
• Acts as a point of escalation for client needs, internally and externally, from a WHW standpoint.
• Supports full client lifecycle from a WHW perspective, including sales, implementation, delivery, expansion, and renewal expertise, with a particular focus on complex accounts; includes direct work towards 5Rs, including in-year revenue initiatives and enhancing WHW profitability.
• Leads direct reports and guides full WHW team in identifying and evolving a strong data-driven approach to strategy & programming, ensuring WHW at Personify Health remains a best-in-class provider of WHW services.
• Identifies and leads revenue and retention special projects; has a full understanding of WHW financial goals, bringing proactive, solution-oriented approaches to retaining and growing revenue.
• Influences and leads complex, cross-functional projects and executes to finished product, including those focused on expansion and revenue growth.
• Serves as a mentor to Senior Managers and Managers of Workplace H&W, as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health promotion or other health related field such as public health, community health, nutrition, exercise physiology, etc.
• Master’s degree in Public Health or Management preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in fields related to health and wellbeing.
• At least 5 years people management required.
• At least 5 years of experience in a corporate wellbeing environment required.
• Experience working with incentive programs; working knowledge of the Personify Health platform and systems/tools required.
• Health plan experience preferred.

• Strong and skilled social awareness and relationship management, led with empathy across complex, matrixed spaces; excellent communication skills.
• Deep understanding of business, deliverables, market, and service needs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Zoom.
