Role Description

The Director of Sustainability role is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the existing Telix Sustainability function and steward and continuously strengthen it as a regulated, board‑accountable sustainability and climate disclosure function. This is a highly visible global role with direct ELT and Board interaction, responsible for ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance with mandatory climate‑related disclosure requirements (including AASB S2 and aligned ISSB standards) and maintaining robust governance, controls, and disclosure discipline across Telix’s three‑pillar sustainability framework.

Success in the role will result from strong cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Risk, Operations, and Data Owners, and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into clear, defensible, and decision‑useful disclosures for senior management and the Board. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to leverage their regulatory, reporting, and assurance experience to operate an effective, compliant, and durable global Sustainability program for Telix.

Key Accountabilities

• Planning and delivery
  • Steward the Board‑approved sustainability strategy and ensure its consistent execution, disclosure, and alignment with regulatory and risk requirements.
  • With business unit leaders, clarify roles, ownership, and accountabilities for sustainability‑related data, risks, and disclosures.
  • Own and deliver Telix’s annual climate and sustainability reporting cycle, including:
    • Ongoing reporting under Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (AASB S2).
    • Maintenance of consistency and comparability year‑on‑year.
    • Preparation of Board‑ and ARC‑ready materials and disclosures.
  • Lead the development, disclosure, and continuous improvement of Telix’s Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions inventory from FY2026 onwards.
  • Maintain and strengthen sustainability reporting controls, documentation, and audit trails.
  • Support the Board in evaluating the timing, readiness, and governance implications of future climate targets.
  • Update/maintain the Telix Sustainability Report annually.
• Risk Integration & Governance
  • Assess risks and maintain the sustainability and climate risk profile within Telix’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • Ensure climate‑related risks are monitored, escalated, and reported through established ERM and ARC reporting processes.
• Stakeholder engagement
  • Provide targeted, role‑appropriate guidance to senior leaders, Finance, Risk, and Operations teams.
  • Launch and chair a cross-functional sustainability working group.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including investors, customers, community organisations, regulatory agencies, and industry groups.
• Culture
  • Promote a culture of sustainability throughout the organization.
  • Develop training programs to educate employees on sustainability practices.
• Resource efficiency
  • Design and implement programs related to energy efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation, and sustainable procurement.
  • Drive efforts to reduce the Group’s carbon footprint and enhance resource efficiency.
• Continuous improvement
  • Stay informed on sustainability trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
  • Manage external advisors and assurance providers.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental science or related field/s. Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in environmental management or sustainability roles globally.
• 5+ years of experience in a highly regulated, global manufacturing environment, with biopharmaceutical experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of mandatory climate disclosure standards (AASB S2, ISSB/IFRS sustainability standards).
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and influence organizational change.
• Proven experience engaging with and presenting to senior leadership and board committees.
• Up to 15 percent travel.
