[Hiring] Director of Carrier Management @Corestream

Role Description

Corestream partners with a broad network of insurance carriers and voluntary benefit providers to power the benefits programs we deliver for our clients. As that network grows, we need someone to own it end-to-end: building consistent, reliable relationships with our partners, running point when things go wrong, and putting the processes and infrastructure in place for our provider operations to scale.

We're hiring a Director, Carrier Management to be that owner. This is a highly cross-functional role that sits at the center of our provider ecosystem - part relationship manager, part project manager, part problem-solver - and a critical partner to our implementation, account management, and customer support teams.

Your Mission:

• Own the end-to-end process for onboarding new providers - for both new and existing products - and offboarding providers being retired.
• Lead provider-side collaboration on launches in close coordination with our implementation team to keep every launch on schedule.
• Design and continuously refine our carrier and provider vetting/onboarding process - criteria, steps, and documentation.
• Act as the project management function for all carrier-related initiatives.
• Maintain a single source of truth for what's in flight, hold cross-functional teams accountable to deadlines, and surface risk before it becomes a missed date.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with our top provider partners through a regular meeting cadence and clear, current project tracking.
• Serve as the central point of contact between carriers/vendors and internal teams.
• Ensure product updates, plan changes, and supporting materials are communicated, documented, and kept current across the organization.
• Serve as the definitive escalation point for carrier and vendor issues.
• Track and report on provider/vendor performance to identify and address underperforming partners.
• Establish a recurring, business-review-style cadence with provider partners.
• Build and maintain documented playbooks and escalation paths for each provider.
• Own the strategy behind our presence at benefit fairs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives from planning through completion.
• A track record of building and sustaining trust with external partners over time.
• Proven ability to build alignment and drive action across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• The willingness to push back on vendors and internal stakeholders alike when it's the right call for the business.
• Strong negotiation instincts, with the ability to reach agreements and resolutions that protect the company's interests.
• Clear, professional communication, written and verbal, with both external partners and internal teams.
• A root-cause mindset - you diagnose the underlying issue on escalated problems.
• Strong organizational skills - you can track a large volume of partners, projects, and open items without dropping a thread.
• A proactive approach - you surface risks like data gaps or timeline slippage before they become fires.
• Composure under pressure, even when managing multiple simultaneous escalations.
