Role Description

The Director, Enterprise Epic Applications – Clinical is accountable for the strategic direction, operational performance, and ongoing optimization of enterprise clinical application portfolios that support inpatient, ambulatory, and ancillary care delivery across the health system. This role provides deep domain leadership for Epic and tightly integrated third-party clinical and ancillary systems that enable safe, efficient, and high-quality clinical workflows.

• Act as a proactive and trusted partner to clinical, operational, and informatics leaders.
• Translate clinical priorities and care delivery models into clear technology strategies and roadmaps.
• Lead with enterprise perspective, disciplined execution, and a strong service mindset.
• Accountable for translating organizational and clinical strategy into sustainable outcomes.
• Demonstrate the organization’s mission, values, and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent substantial progressive work experience, certifications, and education).
• Master's degree preferred.
• Epic certification in multiple modules relevant to area of portfolio responsibilities.
• ITIL Foundation Certification (within 6 months of hire).
• A minimum of seven (7) years of combined IT/Healthcare experience, including a minimum of three (3) years managing Epic applications.

• Translate enterprise and clinical strategy into actionable priorities, operating models, and investment decisions.
• Ensure services, products, and platforms deliver reliable, secure, high-quality, and efficient outcomes.
• Embed ITIL, Agile, and product-oriented principles at scale.
• Proactively manage portfolio level risk, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
• Ensure performance, outcomes, and value are measured and communicated.
