Role Description

The Review Manager provides leadership, oversight, and operational management for the Review Team supporting federal background investigations. This position is responsible for ensuring investigative reports and supporting documentation are reviewed in accordance with customer requirements, government regulations, and contract standards prior to submission.

• Oversees reviewer assignments and monitors workload distribution.
• Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensures the team meets quality, timeliness, and production objectives.
• Identifies trends, recurring deficiencies, and process improvement opportunities.
• Develops staff and drives accountability within the Review Team.
• Ensures the Review Team serves as a trusted quality partner to Investigators and Record Searchers.

Qualifications

• Active favorable adjudicated T5, T5R or HT security clearance.
• DHS experience highly desired.
• Flexible work location, remote-friendly.

Requirements

• Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the Review Team.
• Assign work and balance reviewer workloads based on staffing levels, workload volume, priorities, and customer requirements.
• Monitor team performance against established quality, timeliness, production, and customer service metrics.
• Ensure investigative reports, interviews, and record checks are reviewed in accordance with customer and contractual requirements.
• Track and report team KPIs, trends, and performance metrics to Program Management.
• Collaborate with Workload Leadership and Field Leadership to address operational challenges.
• Identify recurring errors, deficiencies, omissions, and quality concerns across investigative work products.
• Partner with Quality Assurance and Training personnel to develop corrective action plans.
• Monitor reviewer productivity and provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Conduct performance management activities, including development planning and corrective actions.
• Ensure consistency in review practices and interpretation of investigative requirements.
• Support customer audits, internal audits, and quality inspections.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives designed to enhance operational efficiency.
• Serve as a subject matter expert regarding investigative review standards.
• Provide regular status updates and performance reports to Program Management.
• Support surge efforts and special projects as required.
