Role Description

As a Database Engineer (Ops), you will be responsible for the administration and optimization of production-grade database environments. You will ensure the stability and health of critical data systems, focusing on reliability and peak performance for enterprise-wide applications.

What You'll Do

• Manage and maintain production databases to ensure high availability and consistent uptime.
• Implement and govern robust data replication and backup strategies to guarantee data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
• Proactively monitor and tune database performance, optimizing complex queries for maximum efficiency.
• Design and execute maintenance plans, including index management and lifecycle tasks, within mission-critical environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define database standards and provide technical support for platform health.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Database Administration, Operations, or Systems Engineering.
• Proven expertise in operating and tuning production databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, or MySQL.
• Proficiency in T-SQL or PL/SQL for performance tuning and database optimization.
• Hands-on experience with backup strategies, replication, and implementing HA/DR solutions.
• Deep understanding of database maintenance and lifecycle management in enterprise environments.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
