Position: Bilingual Danish STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety

Type: Contract

Compensation: $61–$65/hour

Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Write expert-level prompts in Danish across specialized scientific topics.
• Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
• Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
• Ensure AI model safety by leveraging your scientific expertise in Danish technical topics.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.

Qualifications

• Must-Have: PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field.
• Native or near-native fluency in Danish and business-level written English.
• Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques.
• Sound judgment around scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.
• Preferred: Based in Denmark or the wider Western Europe region.
• Expertise in radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, energetic materials, or radiation physics.
• Depth in a specific subfield like organic or inorganic synthesis, molecular biology, microbiology, virology, or genetics.
• Experience with chemical safety and security, biosafety and biosecurity, or hazardous-materials handling.
• Experience reviewing, grading, or red-teaming technical content.
