[Hiring] Custom Research Director, Qual UXR @MarketCast

Role Description

As a Custom Research Director on our Qualitative UXR team, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of a variety of research projects, leveraging your expertise to deliver smart research designs and comprehensive analysis plans. You will:

• Define the vision for reports, demonstrating expert-level analysis and insights to clients.
• Manage overall client relationships, ensuring high client satisfaction across every project.
• Facilitate strategic discussions with clients to understand their long-term goals.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and providing regular updates on project progress.
• Maintain accountability for your team's performance and professional development.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and targeted training plans.
• Attract and recruit top industry talent to ensure the team is equipped with necessary skills.
• Support senior Research team members on business development efforts for existing clients.
• Oversee the planning and execution of qualitative research projects, primarily usability research.
• Direct discussion guide design, ensuring guides meet client objectives and industry standards.
• Lead the development of comprehensive analysis plans and client reports.
• Support senior team members in managing project budgets to ensure financial health.
• Provide input to shape the direction of company-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in market research, with a focus on qualitative research, ideally with some UXR experience.
• 3+ years managing a team of researchers.
• Proven ability to design and execute complex research projects from inception to completion.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to think critically and analyze data.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and multitask effectively.
• Strong client relationship-building skills.
• Commercial acumen, with the ability to understand client needs.
