Role Description

As a Custom Jewelry Project Manager, you'll be at the heart of our one-on-one, specialized, and custom design experience and service. You'll work with customers from initial request to a fully designed one-of-a-kind piece, coordinating with our designers, gem experts, and production specialists.

• Build and maintain customer relationships through online messaging.
• Manage ongoing relationships with existing customers and support their future projects.
• Understand key customer preferences to bring their design ideas to life.
• Make thoughtful design and material recommendations that align with the customer's priorities.
• Coordinate with technical teams to translate the customer's vision into a manufacturable design.
• Present concept sketches and 3D renderings to customers, answering questions and receiving feedback for revisions.
• Communicate design revisions to CAD designers and concept sketch artists.
• Share and discuss diamond or gem options.
• Create and present quotes that fit customer budgets and design requirements.
• Plan and manage project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
• Handle all post-production correspondence, including resizing, repairs, and customer satisfaction.
• Review communication techniques and project strategy feedback with your manager.
• Experiment with new approaches and resources with guidance from your manager.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with other Project Managers and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Excellent written communication skills.
• Client-facing experience in sales, hospitality, luxury retail, or account management.
• A passion for jewelry and design.
• Discerning visual taste.
• Resourcefulness in decision-making.

Requirements

• A track record of achieving strong sales results (preferred but not required).
• Experience in fine jewelry sales (preferred but not required).
• Technical experience as a jewelry designer, bench jeweler, or artist (preferred but not required).
• Graduate Gemologist degree or previous GIA coursework (preferred but not required).
• Bachelor's degree from a competitive college/university (preferred but not required).

Benefits

• Competitive base compensation + added commission.
• $65,000 - $68,000/yr total on-target earnings.
• $45,000/yr base compensation + commission of 4.5% of sales.
