[Hiring] Consultant - Cloud Infrastructure Services @Red River

Role Description

The Red Hat Global Telco Services team is looking for a Consultant to join us in Pune/Bangalore/Chennai/Delhi-NCR, India. As a Consultant, you are a highly skilled professional engaged in Red Hat Cloud (RH OCP, OSP, OSO, Custom Clouds based on RH OCP and OSP) based solution delivery projects, spanning the Red Hat Cloud portfolio as well as 3rd party Cloud infrastructures.

• Participate in Customer’s Cloud/NFV/SDN delivery projects, focusing on OCP, OSP, NCP, NHRO, OSO components of Cloud portfolio.
• Lead the creation and evolution of High and Low Level Design, Test & Customer acceptance Design (Strategy, Test Cases).
• Perform solution-based install, configuration, and acceptance of pre-architected solutions, either remote or on-site.
• Provide remote or on-site expert support for on-site solution engineers during installation, acceptance, and diagnosis activities.
• Ensure knowledge transfer and coaching of the rest of the Consultants community.
• Understand the culture and needs of the customers and internal teams in terms of technology and competencies.
• Be motivated and curious with a passion for contributing to the success of the business.

Qualifications

• Expertise in OCP/OSP/OSO components of Red Hat cloud portfolio; Nokia NCP/NHRO would be an added advantage.
• Hands-on expertise in OpenStack & Kubernetes is a must.
• Expertise in HEAT templates for applications to be hosted on Cloud platforms; Ansible, Mistral concepts would be advantageous.
• Expertise in NFVI/VIM, VNFM, NFVO, and SDN technologies.
• Experience and background in infrastructure, system, and IT (Linux servers, Virtualization, containerization, External Storage Solutions).
• Expertise in Containers, Kubernetes, and Microservices concepts.
• OCP 280 (EX-280) training and Certification preferable.
• Extended (practical) knowledge of L2 and L3 IP architectures and network models (MPLS, routers), IP/MPLS access, aggregation & edge, IP/MPLS/DWDM converged core.
• Previous design and deployment experience with at least 10+ years in a customer service or technical support environment within a technology-oriented company or department.
• Proven ability to learn and apply new skills and processes rapidly and coach, mentor, influence others.
• Ability to adapt to changes quickly and be a change catalyst.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a focus on improving associate and customer experience.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
• Ability to work in process-driven environments as well as in contexts requiring consultation with colleagues.
• Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with customers, third-party vendors, and Red Hat associates.
• Knowledge of support systems and tools considered.
• An appreciation of, and passion for open source software would be an advantage.

Requirements

• Participation in customer’s project activities related to Red Hat Cloud projects.
• Understand customers' product functional and technical requirements.
• Understand how Red Hat products integrate into customers' environments.
• Understand customization requirements that the customer will need.
• Assistance as a consultant in customer presentations, documentation, and workshops.
• Participate in the High Level Design (HLD) approval cycle of the customer’s solution.
• Responsible for Low Level Design (LLD), with detailed architecture and design of the Red Hat Solution.
• Responsible for following the design and process and implementing the Cloud solution (Deployment/Upgrade/Configuration) in the customer environment.
• Responsible for Test Design (Strategy, Test Cases, and Reports).
• Produce Customer Documentation, e.g., MOPs, Integration & Configuration files.
• Execute integrations as per requirements and verify functionality as per the test strategy defined.
• Upgrade and test customer-specific software/hardware before implementation.
• Manage customer technical requests and regularly update customers on progress.
• Contribute to the creation of common artifacts and tools for usage by the Solution Engineering community.
• Ensure solution feasibility from technical, migration, integration, operation, and maintenance perspectives.
• Maintain the integrity & consistency of the solution over the whole project cycle.
