[Hiring] Construction Safety Specialist @World Insurance Associates.

Role Description

This is a remote position requiring 50-75% travel to clients conducting safety inspections of worksites and facilities in Upstate New York. Areas include Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, and Binghamton.

• Identify workplace hazards and submit recommendations for compliance.
• Write safety programs and assist in implementation.
• Hold safety classes with client employees when indicated.
• Create safety manuals, including site-specific manuals when required.
• Discuss safety protocol with GC’s when required.
• Interact with governmental agencies when mitigation is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910 (all sub parts) required.
• Ideal candidate should hold certificates and be able to conduct forklift safety training, aerial lift, and boom safety training.
• OSHA certified trainer and possessing a NYS CR-59 certification, however, may achieve certification during employment.
• Self-motivated and proactive in identifying problems and developing recommended solutions.
• High degree of business acumen and ability to clearly communicate with all levels of management in a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
• Ability to travel 50-75% within New York State.

Benefits

• Base salary for this position may range from $100,000 to $110,000.
• Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, certifications, and qualifications.
