Role Description

The MHS GENESIS Configuration Lead is responsible for leading configuration discovery, workflow fit assessments, requirement definition, configuration documentation, system build oversight, and validation activities in support of the MHS GENESIS Electronic Health Record (EHR). The role ensures alignment with enterprise standards while managing controlled campus variances and maintaining rigorous configuration traceability.

This individual partners with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to produce and maintain essential configuration artifacts, including:

• Discovery findings
• Fit assessments
• Requirements packages
• Decision logs
• Variance logs
• Traceability matrices
• Validation results

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience supporting EHR configuration, clinical systems implementation, workflow analysis, requirements development, validation, or healthcare IT deployment.
• Strong understanding of EHR configuration, specifically MHS GENESIS or Cerner Millennium.
• Experience supporting Oracle Health/Cerner, MHS GENESIS, VistA, Epic, MEDITECH, or similar systems preferred.
• Ability to lead workflow and configuration discovery sessions and translate findings into system requirements.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to create and maintain traceability, requirements, and decision artifacts.
• Excellent communication skills for both clinical and technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and collaboration platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, information systems, business, or a related field required; additional relevant experience may substitute for degree.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
• Experience with workflow mapping tools and requirements management systems.

Benefits

• Type of Employment: 1099 with other employment opportunities based on individual performance and business need.
• Work Location/Travel: Applicants must be unencumbered by travel restrictions. Heavy travel during periods of system implementations.
• Hourly Rate Range: $52.86 - $64.08, with multiple factors considered in determining final pay.
