Role Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Component Sourcing Specialist to join their team. This role focuses on sourcing and procuring high-quality packaging components such as jars, lids, pumps, and other related materials essential for their product lines.
- Identify, evaluate, and engage with suppliers for packaging components including jars, lids, pumps, and other related packaging materials.
- Maintain and grow strong relationships with existing and potential vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to secure competitive rates and optimal quality.
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., product development, operations, quality control) to understand specific packaging requirements and timelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast component requirements to avoid delays or shortages.
- Conduct regular market research to stay updated on innovative packaging solutions and industry trends.
- Ensure all sourced components comply with brand's sustainability and quality standards.
- Oversee and resolve quality issues with suppliers promptly, minimizing disruption to production schedules.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, ideally within packaging or cosmetics industries.
- Proven ability to source high-quality components (plastic jars, lids, pumps, etc.) effectively.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with inventory and procurement software systems.
- Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly packaging solutions preferred.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Requirements
- Experience using Netsuite, Excel or Google Sheets.
