You’ll help move assigned work from planning through delivery, bringing thoughtful analysis, strong coordination, and attention to quality within the scopes, priorities, and approaches approved by the Practice Area Director. You’ll likely enjoy this role if you bring deep knowledge of homelessness response systems, can balance multiple priorities, and enjoy helping communities navigate complex requirements and put practical solutions into action.

  • Demonstrated experience providing technical assistance to Continuums of Care (CoCs), local governments, or nonprofit organizations.
  • Experience working with national technical assistance providers, consulting firms, or government contractors.
  • Strong familiarity with HUD programs and requirements, including SNAPS, the CoC Program, ESG, and related initiatives.
  • Advanced knowledge of HMIS, federal reporting processes, and data-informed system performance.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and training skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and comfort learning new tools and platforms.

Requirements

  • Manage assigned project deliverables within approved scopes and schedules.
  • Track progress and bring issues requiring decisions to the Practice Area Director.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, clients, communities, and partners to understand needs and deliver practical, high-quality technical assistance.
  • Support client satisfaction through excellent customer service, responsive and respectful communication, strong client relationships, and collaborative project management.
  • Draft reports, technical products, and client-ready presentations.
  • Support and deliver trainings, presentations, and facilitated sessions.
  • Contribute subject matter expertise to documenting homelessness, HMIS, and HUD TA protocols, practices, and processes for internal use, under the guidance of the Practice Area Director.
  • Support marketing efforts related to HUD-funded homelessness initiatives, including proposal writing.
  • Maintain 85% utilization rate on project-related work.
  • Participate in company meetings and demonstrate responsiveness, respect, collaboration, and a commitment to shared learning.
  • Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by management in support of Community Science’s goals and objectives.

Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package, with a maximum base salary of $112,000.
  • Partially subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Fully vested 401k plan with company match.
  • Company paid life and disability insurance plans.
  • Paid family leave.
  • Generous paid time off policy.
