Role Description

As Community Power’s Community Partnerships & Funding Manager, you will build and strengthen relationships with Indigenous Nations, funders, utilities, and partners, understand the goals they are trying to advance, and help move Nation priorities toward funded, implementation-ready projects.

• Connect Nation priorities with the right expertise, funding pathways, and project design.
• Create the momentum needed to move strong projects into implementation for our Nation partners.
• Work alongside an experienced team with deep expertise in Indigenous housing, construction, building science, energy, project design, and delivery.
• Bring relationship strength, funding knowledge, organization, and persistence to connect expertise with Nation goals.
• Achieve tangible success: stronger Nation relationships, funding secured for priority work, and projects moving into delivery.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated capability, judgment, and ability to build trust.
• Experience in Indigenous housing, community or economic development, government, utilities, energy, construction, consulting, program delivery, partnerships, or another relevant background.
• Experience building and maintaining strong external relationships.
• Experience working with Indigenous Nations, organizations, or communities.
• Experience coordinating complex projects, opportunities, or stakeholder groups.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with funding programs, applications, government, or utility programs is highly desirable.
• Experience in partnerships, client development, or business development is an asset.
• Strong digital fluency and comfort learning new tools, systems, and processes.

Requirements

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Indigenous Nations, Housing Managers, leadership, staff, and community partners.
• Maintain relationships beyond individual projects to carry trust, knowledge, and momentum into future opportunities.
• Build direct, trusted relationships with government, utility, and other funding representatives.
• Maintain an understanding of current funding opportunities, requirements, deadlines, and emerging programs.
• Identify new and repeat project opportunities through Nation relationships, existing projects, funding programs, outreach, and strategic partners.
• Take ownership of momentum and find solutions when projects stall.
• Represent Kambo’s Community Power division confidently with Nations, funders, utilities, partners, and industry organizations.
