Role Description

Authority is developing insurance-focused products, intelligence and advisory offerings for businesses. We are looking for an experienced commercial insurance professional who is currently active in the United States to advise us as we develop and improve these offerings.

You will provide practical guidance on customer needs, coverage design, underwriting, pricing, distribution, claims and market positioning. Your advice will help ensure that our insurance offerings reflect how the commercial insurance market actually operates.

What you will advise us on

• Commercial insurance product design and market fit
• Coverage, limits, exclusions and policy wording
• Underwriting and pricing considerations
• Broker, carrier, MGA and direct distribution models
• Claims processes and common customer problems
• Carrier appetite, capacity and competitive positioning
• Opportunities to improve insurance data, tools and customer experiences

Qualifications

• Commercial property and casualty
• General and professional liability
• Commercial motor and fleet
• Cyber insurance
• Business interruption
• Workers compensation or employers liability
• SME and mid-market insurance
• Brokerage, underwriting, claims, product or distribution

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant insurance experience
• Currently operating in or closely involved with the United States insurance market
• Up-to-date knowledge of local customers, regulation and market conditions
• Firsthand experience with insurance product, underwriting, claims, brokerage or distribution decisions
• A valid LinkedIn profile showing relevant professional experience
