Role Description

We have an existing opportunity for a Desktop Adjuster to join our team! This position can work remotely anywhere in Canada.

• Actively adjusts claims while maximizing business development opportunities.
• Involves marketing and follow-up of opportunities in a timely manner.
• Creates a dynamic portfolio requiring well-honed organizational skills.
• Enables efficient and effective progress of file management activities.

Qualifications

• University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Equivalency in combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause and effect dynamics.
• Good investigative manner.
• Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them.
• Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature.
• Perform and understand advanced numerical calculations including analysis of comparative information.
• Adjuster’s license, or currently pursuing or have completed the CIP designation.
• Advanced communication skills including effective written and oral skills.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities.
• Proactive and positive approach to customer service.
• Strong interpersonal skills allowing effective conflict resolution.
• Strong commitment to ongoing education and learning.

Requirements

• Experience in Personal and/or Commercial lines Auto Property Damage (PD).
• Some personal Property Claims experience will be considered an asset.
• Effective communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).
• Demonstrated and proven leadership skills.
• Sense of urgency and responsiveness.
