• Assess the educational needs of providers regarding coding and documentation.
• Direct development of effective regularly scheduled educational programs that meet provider needs.
• Serve as the primary resource to providers for documentation and coding issues.
• Conduct coding and billing training programs for billing and coding specialists and providers.
• Create presentations, develop learning material, handbook, and other training materials.
• Conduct coding and data quality reviews and prepare complex reports as required.
• Assist with auditing and monitoring of coding and billing activities for providers employed by Piedmont Healthcare.
• Ensure all coding activities comply with clinical billing standards and government regulations.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) - Required
• 3 years of Physician Coding/HIM and Revenue Cycle experience - Required
• Experience in specific coding across multiple specialties - Preferred
• CCA - Certified Coding Associate - Required
• CCS - Certified Coding Specialist - Required
• CCS-P - Required
• CPC certification - Required
