Role Description

The Claims Assistance Specialist supports the claims team by coordinating with provider offices, ensuring accurate claim submission, and assisting internal teams with timely follow up. This role is critical in delivering a high level of service to clients by helping facilitate smooth and efficient claims handling.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable managing multiple priorities, and can adapt quickly to changing needs. This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, responsive, and committed to delivering high-quality service, with strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to consistently follow through on tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contact provider office to share insurance information and request claim submissions to medical and/or gap insurance.
  • Build, track, and manage tickets within our system (HubSpot).
  • Send weekly lab documentation to the Gap carrier.
  • Follow up on outstanding claims and ensure timely processing.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to resolve claim-related issues.
  • Provide general support to the claims team as needed.

Qualifications

  • Healthcare background required, such as experience working in a medical office, provider setting, or prior exposure to insurance processes and terminology.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume workload.
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence handling phone-based interactions.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (HubSpot preferred, but not required).
