Role Description

The Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) will be responsible for overseeing the procurement function of the company, including:

• Developing and executing procurement strategies
• Managing vendor relationships
• Ensuring cost-effective and efficient purchasing processes

The CPO will work closely with the executive team to support the company's goals and objectives while maintaining ethical and socially responsible procurement practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and drive cost savings.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Collaborate with the executive team to identify the procurement needs of the company and develop plans to meet those needs.
• Analyze market trends and identify potential suppliers to ensure the company receives the best value for its purchases.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of vendors and make recommendations for improvements.
• Oversee the procurement budget and ensure all purchases are within budgetary constraints.
• Implement policies and procedures to ensure ethical and socially responsible procurement practices.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain management role.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience in developing procurement strategies and managing vendor relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
