Role Description

As a Category Analyst (Respiratory) at Parachute, you will play a pivotal role in building and managing our catalog of respiratory products and services. You will also manage our Insurance Coverage Criteria rules engine, which helps clinicians better understand what items are covered for patients during their time of need. This role involves collaborating closely with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure that our platform offers a comprehensive range of offerings aligned with market demand and business growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Catalog Management:
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand strategic areas for business expansion, such as new product categories or markets.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and research within the respiratory categories, including Oxygen, CPAP and Sleep, BiLevels, Ventilators, Nebulizers, Airway Clearance, Suction & Tracheostomy, and Testing & Monitoring.
  • Become a subject matter expert in product is-ness and product application.
  • Build and maintain the digital catalog in our Content Management System (CMS).
  • Analyze and organize various types and volumes of data to create product listings in our catalog.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and usability of catalog data.
  • Continuously optimize catalog content based on performance metrics, user feedback, and industry developments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the quality and usability of the catalog.
• Insurance Coverage Criteria Management:
  • Analyze complex insurance coverage criteria requirements related to the respiratory categories.
  • Translate these criteria into a flowchart of questions and outputs to facilitate product eligibility determination.
  • Attend webinars and perform periodic research to stay informed about regulatory and industry changes.
• Catalog & Coverage Criteria Alignment:
  • Ensure seamless integration between the insurance rules engine and the catalog.
  • Conduct demonstrations of your work to gather feedback and prioritize improvements.
  • Create and maintain documentation about your work to assist collaboration.
  • Raise workflow improvement opportunities to relevant internal software development teams.
  • Solve ad hoc issues and document the solutions for reuse by our support team.

Technical Skills

• Previous consulting or project-based work experience (knowledge of project management concepts is a big plus).
• Proficiency in researching, analyzing, interpreting, and manipulating various types and sizes of datasets.
• Familiarity with coding concepts or willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of tools such as Google Workspace, Miro, Notion, Claude, Linear, and Databricks.

Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare, especially Respiratory Therapy.
• Experience with taxonomy or ontology development, category management, and/or market research.
• Experience with product information management systems (PIMs) or content management systems (CMS).
• Background in healthcare or knowledge of healthcare regulations, coding, and/or claims practices.
• Background in computer science, library science, data science, or math.
