Role Description

Remote Canvassers and Team Leaders: Stand up for the working class!

We’re working to call and text voters in order to educate and mobilize our communities for the November election.

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
• Deliver a compelling campaign message, and collect complete survey answers from voters
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
• Strictly follow the campaign's safety protocols, including the use of PPE and compliance with daily health and safety guidelines
• Passionate about progressive change and will be excellent representatives
• Work hard and stay motivated to engage as many people as possible each day
• Strong communication skills; phone/text banking involves one-on-one conversations with diverse individuals
• Open to new challenges and want to build campaign and public outreach skills
• Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the communities we are organizing

Qualifications

• Prior canvassing experience is not required
• Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy
• Strong communication skills; enjoy working with others and willing to speak with everyone
• Hard worker who stays motivated to engage with as many people as possible
• Open to new challenges and interested in building campaign skills
• Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community

Requirements

• Must be able to work from home
• Comfortable spending a significant amount of time on camera in meetings
• Strong wifi connection and cell service required
• Available to work a minimum of 4 shifts per week
• Shifts available Saturday–Thursday from 1:30 p.m.–8:00 p.m. ET or 2:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m. ET

Benefits

• Base pay ranges from $20/hr for callers to $22/hr for Shift Managers
• Full-time staff can opt into the company healthcare plan

• $50 monthly internet reimbursement
• $1/hr bonus for bilingual Spanish-speaking staff
• Bilingual pay eligibility after passing a fluency test
