Role Description
This role involves assessing climate-induced displacement and loss and damage, focusing on global frameworks and policy implications based on case studies in Ethiopia and Somalia.
- Conduct research on climate-induced displacement and its human rights implications.
- Analyze data from case studies in Ethiopia and Somalia.
- Provide recommendations for LWF's advocacy work.
- Prepare reports for various stakeholders, including UN bodies and national policymakers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in climate justice related work.
- Proven expertise in human rights.
- Proven track record of conducting similar work.
- Experience in conducting research (in-depth interviews, focus groups, online interviews, surveys, etc.).
- Excellent writing skills in English.
- Experience in working with faith-based organizations.
- Knowledge of LWF and the ACT Alliance members is an advantage.
Requirements
- Technical and financial offer submission.
- Summary presentation of the proposed approach and methodology.
- Proposed template for elaboration and analysis of good practices.
- Costs for honorarium based on a daily rate and any other costs.
- Proposed number of consultancy days needed to provide expected deliverables.
- CV(s) of all consultants involved.
- A written sample of previous similar work.
