[Hiring] Business Systems Program Manager @Jane

Role Description

We are building a new Business Systems Team at Jane and we want you to be a part of it! Reporting to our Head of Business Systems, this role exists because Jane has grown to a point where our tooling strategy needs an owner. Someone who knows what we have, what it's actually costing us, and whether we're getting real value out of it.

• Optimize Jane's SaaS portfolio — know what we have, what it costs, where we're over-invested, and where two tools are quietly doing the same job.
• Become the go-to person for teams before they sign a contract or spin up a new tool.
• Coach tool owners to define success metrics, plan implementations thoughtfully, and evaluate renewals with real strategic clarity.
• Hold procurement strategy at the senior level — shape how we buy, when we walk away, and how we negotiate.
• Design and implement a vendor risk framework that routes contracts to Legal while using AI to flag unusual provisions.
• Lead strategic consolidation decisions for duplicate tooling.
• Establish a scalable framework for new tool requests that ensures company-wide evaluation.
• Build AI-powered automations, tracking systems, and frameworks that scale this work.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in SaaS portfolio management, IT program management, or SaaS-focused procurement.
• Experience owning vendor governance end-to-end: risk frameworks, contract assessment, and renewal cycles.
• Experience in contract negotiations — knowing when to push, when to walk, and how to build leverage.
• Experience designing and scaling program management frameworks.
• Ability to distinguish intentional overlap from wasteful redundancy in tooling portfolios.
• A genuine point of view on AI with real experience using it to solve problems.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where none exists.
• Strong communicator at every level.
