Role Description
This role involves working closely with business users and project management to capture stakeholder requests and translate them into system specifications.
- Work with business users and DPM to accurately capture stakeholder requests
- Translate requests into system specifications including functional, non-functional, user interface, reports, and external interface specifications
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure engineering realization aligns with business specifications
- Work with testers to ensure adequate testing of software components and participate in Quality Assurance testing as needed
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on effective approaches to achieve project and program goals
- Manage requirements risks by tracking and communicating issues and devising mitigation methods
- Liaise with other project areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues
- Analyze, map, and communicate current and future state business processes
- Support business units in resolving in-depth user questions and issues
- Maintain knowledge of new technology and business analysis standards and practices
- Collaborate with IT administration to define and develop documentation and business analysis artifact standards, guidelines, processes, and templates
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field
- 5 years of experience in the job offered or related position
- 5 years of experience with business analysis processes, techniques, and work products including SWOT Analysis, Use Case modeling, Interviewing and Sampling using MS Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams)
- 5 years of experience supporting a product development team and working with business users to design product requirements
- 5 years of experience in Agile software development processes and assisting in running various ceremonies including standup and refinement
- 3 years of experience with user experience design for web applications
- Experience creating technical specifications documentation based on functional specifications shared by business teams
- Experience ensuring socialization of process and specification documents with development team and gathering feedback
Requirements
- Weekends and/or overtime required to support business unit for resolution of business questions and issues
- Hybrid role model position with 2 days working in office and 3 days remote from within normal commuting distance of the office location
