[Hiring] Business Systems Analyst I @BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee

Role Description

We are hiring a Business Systems Analyst on the Registration and Account Management Team at BCBST! In this role, you’ll play a critical part in supporting and enhancing enterprise‑wide registration and account management capabilities that power our member portal and mobile applications. You’ll work closely with product owners, developers, and cross‑functional partners to gather and refine business requirements, maintain and prioritize the backlog, and support Agile delivery by facilitating Scrum ceremonies. The team supports several highly visible systems, including core components of the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) platform that enable registration, authentication, and password recovery for members, brokers, and employer users. Your work will directly impact how users securely access and manage their health information across the organization.

• Translating complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements
• Working within SAFe frameworks
• Partnering with engineering teams delivering UI and backend services
• Supporting enterprise‑scale platforms
• Operating in fast‑moving, Scrum‑based environments

Note: This is a remote, work‑from‑home position, but the final round of interviews will take place on‑site in our Chattanooga, TN office. Sponsorship is unavailable for this role. Working hours are expected to align to Eastern Standard Time.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent years of experience are determined as one year of technical experience for every year of college requested.
• 2 years - Experience in Information Technology required
• 1 year - Experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards required

Requirements

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles and accountability.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate technical and/or complex concepts into information meaningful to project team members and/or business personnel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
• Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
