Role Description

The Bilingual Service Coordinator (English and Spanish) supports young children with developmental delays and their families by coordinating Early Intervention (EI) services from eligibility through transition. Serving as the family's main point of contact, this role helps families understand the EI process, leads IFSP meetings, and ensures services are delivered on time and in a family-centered way.

  • Partner closely with families, honoring them as the primary decision-makers for their child.
  • Support family assessments and explain child development and available services.
  • Connect families with community resources that promote overall well-being.
  • Plan and coordinate smooth transitions out of Early Intervention, including explaining preschool special education options.
  • Coordinate transition meetings and complete required timelines and documentation.
  • Maintain regular contact with families, providers, and partners.
  • Use interpretation services when needed.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, consent, and confidentiality in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings and complete required trainings and administrative tasks.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development while remaining flexible in a dynamic, family-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, social work, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of relevant case management experience if no degree.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written fluency in both English and Spanish languages.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to maintain regular contact with families, providers, and partners.
  • Compliance with state and federal regulations regarding documentation and confidentiality.
